Sending messages by phone

The phone is the most direct way to reach a pager on Electronique Mercier paging network. Fast and efficient, it only take a few seconds to let to the person you need to talk to the number you wish to be joined to.

It's also possible from a phone to send text message to alphanumeric pagers. This alternative allows you to send a short message followed by a phone number, without the use of a message center or a computer. To send a preprogrammed message, here is how : 

1. Dial the right pager number.
2. When the system answer, press once the star key ( * ). You will then hear a (BIP).
3. Press twice on the star key ( ** )
4. Dial the number related to the right preprogrammed message, according to the list here bellow .
5. If necessary, enter the phone number that will follow the message.
6. To end the call, press # or hang up at any moment.

Example :

To send the message APPELER AU BUREAU at 418 894-9999 number pager : 

4188949999   *    (BIP)   **   15   8627269    #

The received message will be : APPELER AU BUREAU 8627269.
